Money Well Spent
Whilst we acknowledge that social change programs come at a cost, the return to the community is significantly higher.
The estimated cost to the Australian economy of early school leavers is $3 billion per year.1
The cost of keeping one young person in detention is $567 per day or more than $200,000 per year.2
In comparison, the average participant cost for Stylin UP Regional is $1,500 per year and for Creative Pathways in the Central West $5,000 over 6 months.
Additionally, 100% of all income generated by our Profit-for-Purpose enterprises (excluding liabilities) directly supports our social change programs.
An investment in SpeakOut’s programs and services is money well spent.
