River Stories - Animation

For the second year in a row, SpeakOut Connect delivered the Stop Motion Animation component of the State Library of Queensland’s Young Writers’ Day Camp school holiday program.

The program ran for two weeks, with a group of 60 young people (8 to 16 years of age) taking part during the first week, and another group of 60 in the second.

In the stop motion animation workshops, young people concepted their stories around a 'River Stories' theme, and developed their animations using visual art, craft and digital cameras.

On the final day of each week, a public showcase was held to celebrate the participants creativity and talent.

The showcase included a screening of the River Stories animations.
